Autumn Weddings
Photography by www.esmerobinson.com
Autumn is a season so rich in colour that your mood board and colour theme are ready-made. Take inspiration from the wealth of colours in nature and in your surroundings with burnt orange, rusts, golds, burgundy and berry shades. Consider mixing and matching different colours and shades to maximise the autumn feel. Set against creams and ivories as a base colour, the overall look will be rich, welcoming and filled with an array of colour that will immediately add impact.

Barn and country venues are perfectly suited to this season. Take inspiration from nature with your decor by using pumpkins, leaves and berries and using natural elements such as wood, stone, hessian and jute. Teamed with rich autumnal colours and you have the perfect autumn rustic wedding.

If elegance is more your thing, forget pumpkins and falling leaves but focus instead on the colours – think gold for candelabras or lanterns, berry colours in your table linen and an array of seasonal flowers such as chrysanthemums to introduce a definitive feel of autumn without going along the themed route. For a more minimalistic feel, rather than bringing in a cornucopia of autumn shades, just keep to one or two warm colours set against a neutral backdrop such as burgundy against linen or terracotta with ivory.
